Professional Etiquette Workshop:
Professional Attire and Events
My Professional Etiquette Workshop focused on the following different areas:
The workshop enabled my group to not only have an opportunity in teaching a classroom of 25 students, but utilize our creativity in making the workshop interactive and an interesting experience for all. We had many interactive activities such as a tie tying lesson for all girls and boys to eliminate gender biases, a 5 minute contest of putting together the most inexpensive professional wardrobe, and wrapped it up with each student writing a professional Thank-you note. These activities kept the audience on their toes at all times, as well as taught them valuable lessons for entering the workforce. Public speaking, teamwork, research, and creativity were utilized to successfully carry out this workshop. We learned how to actively engage the audience, teach lessons in an dynamic setting, and work around time limits. With careful preparation and planning the workshop exceeded all we had hoped for, while continuously learning along the way.
